We love this RV so much but my Dad is not able to drive it anymore. Dad is the second owner and has owned it since May 2002. It has always been kept in his warehouse when not out camping with the family. He was not a full-time RVer. This RV has been well cared for and there are some RV accessories we left in the basement of the RV. The hinge on one of the basement doors needs to be repaired or replaced. Message if you have questions.
With 1 large slide-out, this Mountain Aire 40' is extremely roomy inside. Highly luxurious with beautiful flooring, hardwood cabinets, gorgeous countertops and leather furniture. Newer home style full size Refrigerator/Freezer. 3/4 tank of Diesel fuel for the Spartan 250 HP engine. The Generator is 7.0 KW Power Tech Diesel Generator with automatic changeover. Question about basement door damage:
I took a pic of the basement door located on the driver's side that needs repair which is posted with the above pics. It appears to me that the basement door panel slid partially out of the top black track that it is inserted into. You can see the thin line whitish area that was previously inside the black track. It is caught in a bind and I could not insert it back in. Dad said it has happened with that door before and was repaired.

Is it drivable with the basement door malfunctioning? Would I have to fix it before driving cross country?
yes, I crawled inside the basement and attached a bungee cord to the door so it will stay closed while driving
