    Description

I purchased this 1978 Eleganza 3 years ago from the original owner and drove it 50 miles home in sub zero temps with no trouble.  Since then I have replaced the fridge with a new two way, built a platform bed in the rear which will need the mattress of your choice, replaced the engine battery with a new Interstate, got the stereo working, cleaned the factory curtains, and removed the vinyl stripes for replacement.  Unfortunately, I simply don’t have time to work on it any longer.
    108,000 miles.
The original owners had replaced all 7 Transforce tires shortly before I bought it and had recently had the transmission rebuilt and the brakes serviced.  I added the Alcoa style wheel covers.
It still needs the engine AC condenser replaced as it’s cracked.  The generator was running great but recently lost spark.  The front shocks need changing and the instrument cowling needs some plastic repair.
The air bags have been converted to shraeder valves but the compressor does run.
The body is in good shape overall and the Imron pain shines up well.  As mentioned, new vinyl striping is needed.  The original awning attachments need some work.
I’ve had the original roof AC running and it works.  Obviously, new units are more efficient.
The interior is original except for the carpet and the headliner.  I have the factory curtains which are in good shape.  They can be used as is or new blackout material can be added.  There is some water staining on the seating material as shown in the pics.  I added a three spoke steering wheel but still have the cracked Cadillac wheel.
The 403 starts easily and cruised along at 70 mph very well.
The central vacuum system is complete and works fine.
I have replacement exterior door flaps for the rusty ones shown.
    The factory microwave operates.
I have the service manual and additional paperwork.
This should be a fairly easy project but, again, I simply don’t have time.
Located 30 miles north of Detroit.
